"Kindergarten Complete takes advantage of homeschoolers’ ability to interact closely with their children with lots of discussion plus hands-on activities. Most programs of this sort have multiple teacher's guides and student books, and it can be very cumbersome to juggle all of the resources. Kindergarten Complete makes it easy with just one binder at a time for all of your subject areas, and no flipping back and forth through the binder." Cathy Duffy

* "The moment Second Grade Complete arrived we were hooked. I absolutely love how organized and detailed this program is! Perfect for this season when I feel like such a mess of a mom! Every subject we need is covered; all in fun themed units too!" Jennifer, A "Peace" of Mind

* "The Teacher's Manuals are quite a blessing! They are not only how-to manuals for the program, but they are full of guidance and are an inspiring, helpful reminder of staying positive. The curriculum uses reading activities that are grade-appropriate with books that the kids actually like. There is a nice combination of worksheet work and hands-on work. When they say "all-inclusive" and "complete," they mean it!" Read more than fifty complete reviews by the Schoolhouse Review Crew

* "After an exhausting search, we finally found Homeschool Complete. We love the curriculum. Since this was our first year of homeschool, and we have multiple students and grades, we wanted something that had structure but was not completely regimented. This program has the freedom to work into our busy schedules with all the printed materials needed. The book list by unit makes it easy to plan and get the books from the library or their digital media source, which has encouraged an appreciation for reading in our kids, although the books could be purchased as well. The lessons are engaging and include reviews and additional literature references if needed. They are easy to understand, plan, and modify as needed. They are challenging and supportive at the same time, and I could tailor it to all three kids’ learning styles. Christian scripture and values are found throughout. It is in a way that opened a door for an in-depth conversation and review with the kids, instead of telling them how to feel or what it meant which let us as parents remain in control of that vital aspect. It felt great to see the kids work through the year, grow, and thrive. Homeschool Complete made it possible for us to transition successfully and I look forward to next year!" Daniella, homeschool parent.

* "It is a great curriculum. I like how it explained everything. It explained math really well, and I liked how it gave examples of everything. What I like about it too in specific was the body and WW2 units. The muscles, tendons, bones, and learning about the different troops was cool. It was way less time than public school, and I am learning about really cool stuff!" Prodigio, fifth grade student.

* "I feel like this review is not going to do this program the justice that it deserves because I don’t really have the words to describe how truly wonderful it is. Our family is currently using the First Grade Complete program this year. It is amazing! We absolutely love it! It makes our school days such a breeze. All the hard work is already done for you! You literally open the book and teach! Your lesson plans, worksheets, and printables are all already right there for you! The only additional things you need to collect for the curriculum are the supplies, which are all low-cost items that you more than likely already have lying around the house, and the required literature. I was able to find most of the required literature at my local libraries. The others I was able to purchase at various used book stores for decent prices. The lesson plans are practical and very easy to navigate. The program includes a variety of activities to keep things interesting. This program can easily adapt to different needs and learning styles. I love that it thoroughly covers all your subjects which include, language arts, math, social studies, science, physical development/fitness, art, and character development/bible. I also love that the lesson plans are created around thematic units. The weekly units are based on a 4 day school week leaving your 5th day open for activities of your choice. I found this to work out very well. We tend to use our 5th day for review, field trips, co-op days, etc. I did a lot of research on different programs before I started my homeschool adventure and I am so happy I decided to go with the homeschool complete programs. They have exceeded my expectations and compared to other programs are very well rounded and very reasonably priced. My child is actually excited to do school every day! Homeschool doesn’t get much easier than this! It truly contains everything you need to have a successful student and year! I hope they continue to make other grades available. I will use them for as long as they continue to make them!" Ashley - Homeschooling Mom

"When we surveyed our homeschooling community, Homeschool Complete was the #1 most recommended curriculum for early education. One of the main reasons why Homeschool Complete is so highly recommended is because homeschoolers are able to place full faith in author Debra Arbuthnot. Her dual qualifications of being a homeschool mom to her 3 children plus having 25 years of teaching experience all levels in both public and private schools leaves nothing to be desired. There is no such thing as busy work, and the units are genuinely fun." Homeschool Base

"If you are looking for a way to make first grade thorough, complete, and FUN, without hours and hours of preparation, then look no further than First Grade Complete from Homeschool Complete.

First Grade Complete is exactly what it says - a complete first-grade curriculum all in one binder. First grade takes some amount of preparation to ensure everything is accomplished and covered in the first-grade year without overwhelming your kids with
too much information. The curriculum has the year planned out for you so there is minimal preparation for you as the teacher to get started with your school day.

Something unique about First Grade Complete is that every four lessons has a unit name that pertains to the general topic of the lessons included in those lessons. For instance, lessons 1-4 are entitled Family, Lessons 5-8 are entitled Seasons, lessons 81-84 are entitled Community Helpers, Lessons 97-100 are entitled Dr. Seuss, and lessons 137-140 are entitled Energy. There are a variety of subjects included in these units sure to interest every child throughout the year. Each lesson includes a variety of activities and worksheets or games. If there is a worksheet or game used in the lesson, these worksheets and game pieces are included at the end of the lesson.

I loved that everything was thought out and planned. And the activities varied from lesson to lesson so my son didn’t get bored. Having everything ready to go in one binder for the whole year is just a blessing. And, the bonus is that if you need to have a portfolio, you have it all in one binder ready to go." "This is a wonderful program, with varied activities from week to week. The units are cohesive and interesting, and appeal to a kindergartener’s interests. All subjects are well integrated, with biblical principles throughout. We’ve really enjoyed using this program in our home... and I really like that this program balanced activities across different learning styles. I have found it very easy to adapt to the needs of my children... with the kids often continuing to play with the enrichment activities or creatively exploring the topic on their own after the formal lesson is complete. The program is easy for the teacher to prepare and follow, and truly contains everything you need for a complete kindergarten program. Kindergarten Complete really is a complete, open and go type program." Jennifer, The Old Schoolhouse Magazine

"I am now a single working mother and time is scarce, to say the least. My daughter and I have been thoroughly enjoying this creative, hands-on, all-inclusive kindergarten curriculum. It is completely all-inclusive except for library books and low-cost school supplies. Homeschooling doesn’t get much easier than this.

The detailed lesson plans in Kindergarten Complete cover all subjects which are guided around thematic units. It includes a variety of activities that I have never thought of teaching my kindergartener before browsing the detailed daily lesson plans. All the fun activities are geared towards either the auditory, visual, or tactile learner. This approach makes the lessons exciting and worthwhile for both student and parent.

The curriculum includes all daily lesson plans, organization and planning suggestions, and teaching procedures all in the convenience of the binder. You will not have to plan out the school year because all preparations are completely prepared for you. I found the school year overview and appendix at the end of the binder very helpful. I was able to make a list of all the low-cost school supplies and library books we needed for the entire year. I really appreciated that the curriculum uses everyday household items.

I found Kindergarten Complete very relaxed but complete. You can be assured that you will not miss a concept with this all-inclusive kindergarten curriculum. It’s truly a homeschool mother’s dream. Your homeschool year will be stress-free and will consist of very little preparation. She is learning phonics and reading skills, sight words, higher-level thinking and problem solving skills and we are only in the first few months of the program."

"As someone who is easily overwhelmed, an all-inclusive curriculum is a HUGE plus in my book. All the lesson plans and worksheets are in one big book. The lesson plans for each day are written out with step-by-step instructions so there is no guesswork or lengthy planning sessions involved for mom. The only thing I have to plan ahead for is gathering up the day’s materials, which are written out in a list each day. All the subjects center around a theme, which means the student learns not only about weather, but he learns math, reading, and character development at the same time. I felt like it was quite sound academically, and will do a thorough job of preparing a kindergartener for first grade. Children at this age generally learn best by hands-on activities, and there are plenty of great suggestions for those while keeping the busywork to a minimum." Christian Homeschool Family

"What makes a complete homeschool curriculum for Kindergarten? I think if you cover basic learning skills like listening, cutting, pasting, and an introduction to reading and writing and letter formation — you are good to go. But if you can throw in some fun that makes it even better — the more fun they have in kindergarten, the more they will enjoy school long term. My Bottom Line: The boys and I had a lot of fun using Kindergarten Complete… (and) I like how Bible concepts are woven throughout the material." Homeschool Encouragement

"The Kindergarten Complete curriculum is comprehensive, yet easy to follow for both the parent and child. Both semesters cover Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, Physical Development & Fitness, Fine Arts, and Character Development/Bible. The art work and graphics are superb; the lessons are clearly explained and illustrated, and they involve the child with relevant activities. Each child can learn at his/her own pace, and be encouraged by constant feedback and examples. Thus, he should never feel pressured or discouraged. There are games and physical exercises in the lessons that enforce what the child has learned; lets him burn off some of his pent-up energy; apply some of his learning to the physical activities; and have fun learning. I have used most of the curriculum with my five-year-old granddaughter during our visits, and she has made amazing progress in all aspects. I’m confident that if a child starts learning basic math and reading at an early age, he/she should do well in all elementary grades, high school, and college." David

"Each day’s ‘work’ is fun, light-hearted and to the point. No busy work! And no taking the fun out of learning! My son... asked repeatedly to 'do things from the Panda book.' " Tales of a Homeschool Family

"Thirty-four weekly, thematic units cover all academic areas with fun and meaningful lessons. Simple teacher notes tell you exactly what to do each day and all the printables are included. I’m telling ya, this is exactly how I would write a kindergarten curriculum! The Everything Kindergarten Curriculum- it’s all you need." Our Journey Westward

"This program has it all! I took one look at this program and fell in love. I opened the Teacher's binder and was immediately impressed with the usability and attractiveness of this program, for both the teacher and the student. The plans are very clear and almost scripted, so it's easy for a new homeschooler or even for a veteran to be able to just pick up and do. The program is very heavily literature-based, which I love, and my kids love! You can choose to either check the books out of the library or purchase all or some of the titles. In the back of each binder, you'll find an appendix containing flashcard templates, rhymes and songs, recipes, materials used (shown with general weekly materials, and broken down for each week which is very convenient rather than looking at each day!), a literature list, and more. All in all, this solid kindergarten program gets a thumbs-up from me! It is so user-friendly, covers a full range of great concepts and skills, ensures lots of quality and fun school-time with your kindergartener, and introduces you to many engaging children's books." I wanted something flexible and relaxed- Kindergarten Complete was everything I had hoped for in a curriculum. I knew I wanted to experience more, while doing less “fluff.” I wanted more reading, more time together, and more fun. We are naturally four-day schoolers, so the curriculum plan works great. With simple directions, it makes sure the teacher or parent fills in every gap and covers everything needed. It's the perfect way to introduce kids to 'school.' Some day, he’ll look back on these days and remember the feeling he got when him mama tuned out the rest of the world and took him on adventures, introduced him to new animals, and taught him about world leaders, all from our cozy spot on the couch.” Tiffany, Homeschool Hideout
